Two Men Sentenced for Raping Underage Girls

Huge cruise ships operate between Finland and Sweden, serving not only as a means of transportation but also as venues for leisure and entertainment. In other words, they are not just vehicles but massive entertainment centers.

A recent news report states that prison sentences have been handed down as a result of rapes of underage girls that took place on such a ship. Farid Asghar, now 37, was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison for sexual abuse of a child.

Asghar was also sentenced to 6 years and 6 months in prison for aggravated child rape and aggravated rape committed in a remote parking lot. Altogether, he was sentenced to 7 years and 8 months in prison for sexual offenses. His friend Mujtaba Adam Khan, now 40, was sentenced to 3 years and 7 months in prison.

As the first names of the convicted indicate, both men are immigrants who came to Finland as humanitarian refugees from developing countries.

Why Is Keir Starmer Commissioning an Inquiry Instead of Taking Action?

From the perspective here in Finland, it seems strange that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has decided to commission an investigation into grooming gangs. This is because the existence of these gangs and their ethnic composition have been known in Finland for a long time already.

For example, I first wrote (in Finnish) about the subject back in 2017, that is, about eight years ago. At the time, I specifically stated that "the worst known case is probably the Rotherham rape ring, which operated in the UK for 16 years and was covered up by the authorities for years out of fear of being labeled racist."

Since then, I have continued to write about the topic. The following year, in 2018, I brought up a prostitution ring that had operated in Telford, England, for decades, "which may have had up to a thousand child victims, mostly from the native population."

In other words, the Asian grooming gangs in the UK—and the related issues with authorities—have been quite well known to us Finns for a long time. And we are also aware that Keir Starmer's administration tried to sweep the matter under the rug by blaming those who aimed to draw official attention to child rapists.

An example of this is my own English-language article, in which I stated: "this is why it is necessary to ask the people of Britain and the world—especially those who see far-right extremism and racism everywhere—why they consider violent protests acceptable in the case of George Floyd, but not in response to the child murders that have shocked the United Kingdom?"

So, if there is no ambiguity here in Finland about the existence or composition of the UK’s grooming gangs, then why on earth is Keir Starmer only now—in the summer of 2025—starting to take action... excuse me, ordering an investigation into the matter? Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to ensure that there is no room for such gangs in British society in the future?

Statistics on Sexual Crimes Committed by Immigrants in Finland

Europe's irrational human rights policy has led to a sharp increase in certain crimes. Therefore, it was interesting to note that a statistic related to sexual crimes, covering the year 2023, has been published in Finland.

According to the data, people from Syria have committed sexual crimes per capita 15.5 times more often than the native Finnish population. Almost as eager perpetrators have been Congolese and Afghans, who have been 12.5 and 12.3 times more active in this regard than Finns.

Following this top three are Iraqis (10.5), Somalis (6.4), Iranians (4.7), Swedes (3.3), Estonians (1.5), and Ukrainians (1.4). Next come Finns themselves, and finally, a rare acknowledgment must be given.

I do not often praise Russians, but in the interest of fairness, credit must be given where it is due. And now it is, as Russians have committed sexual crimes 20% less per capita than Finns, with a ratio of 0.8.

The high figure for Swedes is likely influenced by the good connections between Sweden and Finland. These are used not only by native Swedes but also by so-called "new Swedes"—that is, Syrians, Congolese, Afghans, and others residing in Sweden.

It should be noted that this statistic does not take age distribution into account. Since the immigrant population from developing countries is generally younger than the native Finnish population, the actual difference is likely somewhat smaller than the numbers above suggest.

On the other hand, the opposite may be true for Russians if their average age is higher than that of Finns. Unfortunately, I could not find this information, and neither could artificial intelligence, so this question remains open.

All in all, the statistics discussed here indicate that Finnish immigration policy is particularly harmful to women. And that is why it is strange that women are more willing than men to accept asylum seekers from the nationalities that appear at the top of this list.

I find this very odd, and I cannot explain the reason for it. However, it would be interesting to hear what women themselves think about this matter.

Over a Hundred Child Abusers Caught, and the Far-Left's Paavo Arhinmäki Gains Followers in Finland

The internet-related sexual crimes investigation unit operating at the police station in Turku, Finland, has uncovered, during its operation, over one hundred individuals suspected of luring one or more children on social media into sexual activities and of paying for sexual services from minors during the years 2021–2022.

The majority of the uncovered crimes are sexual offenses, including the sexual abuse of children and sexual acts against children, both in their basic and aggravated forms. These acts have occurred both on social media and in the real world. In addition to sexual offenses, cases of domestic violence, drug crimes, and firearms offenses have also come to light.

Some of the suspects have prior sexual offense records, but the majority either have no criminal history or no history of sexual offenses. The suspects come from diverse backgrounds and represent all social classes.

Furthermore, police searches have revealed approximately 300 new suspected crimes that were previously unknown to law enforcement. The investigation of these offenses is ongoing at various police departments, and the number is expected to rise further.

It remains to be seen how extensive this case will ultimately become. However, it is already clear that Finland, once considered a safe haven, is no longer as secure, as the threat posed by mentally disturbed pedophiles has become an increasingly significant risk, even for children.

* * *

Of course, children themselves are also capable of doing foolish things. In the small Finnish town of Pargas, three so-called graffiti and tag painters have been caught. They are all under 15 years of age.

Among their tags was the acronym FTP, meaning "Fuck the Police." This hardly demonstrates a great deal of respect for societal order and safety on the part of the perpetrators.

The police have documented a total of 33 vandalized targets. These include the walls, doors, windows, and fences of both public and private buildings, defaced with spray paint and markers. As a result, the individuals, businesses, and the town of Pargas that suffered damages from the teens' vandalism can claim compensation for their losses from the young painters. Time will tell whether this teaches them anything.

However, less attention has been paid to the fact that Helsinki's far-left Deputy Mayor, then 47-year-old Paavo Arhinmäki, was caught last year engaging in a similar act of vandalism to that of the teens now held accountable. Nor has it been widely discussed whether Arhinmäki served as a kind of role model for them or if the Deputy Mayor is quite pleased to see that his senseless behavior has gained followers.

All of this is particularly interesting because the Left Alliance has nominated Paavo Arhinmäki as their candidate for the Helsinki mayoral race. In other words, they consider him capable of leading Finland’s largest city.

But could this be a misjudgment? And if so, what does that say about the Left Alliance itself?

African female and Persian male ancestors

When individuals migrate from their homes to different geographic regions, they encounter people from different backgrounds. This can lead to peaceful coexistence or intergroup violence, or both.

Over the past few decades, Europe has seen an influx of people from Africa and the Middle East. However, their integration into receiving societies has not always been smooth. As a result, a subset of the local population in almost all European countries holds highly negative attitudes towards newcomers.

The problem has been exacerbated by the fact that especially many muslim-background immigrants have been guilty of appalling sexual crimes against women in the majority population. For example, in UK an organised child sexual abuse in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, Northern England continued for decades from the late 1980´s until the 2010´s. And in Finland the raping frequency per Iraqi male is more than an order of magnitude higher compared to local men.

Therefore it was interesting to read a recent study on the genetic makeup of individuals from medieval and early modern coastal towns on the Swahili coast of eastern Africa. The study found that many individuals had a mix of African and Asian ancestry, with a significant proportion of their DNA coming from primarily female African ancestors and primarily male Persian ancestors.

This raises the question of whether something happened in Africa during the Middle Ages that is commonplace for Europeans today. Should we learn something from it?

Increase of violence by youngsters in Finnish towns

Migration from Iraq and Somalia (notably, not so much from Syria) to Finland in 2015 has resulted in a considerable loss of safety. After that, the number of sexual assaults and cases of youth violence have increased considerably.

Police announced today that the number of violent assaults by youngsters - or children - under 15 years of age have exploded in two biggest towns of the southwestern part of the country, Turku and Pori. The development has not been as fast in other big towns, but the direction is the same.

This all means that we are following the tracks of Sweden, where immigrant-derived gangs are forming their own rules, and even police has difficulties in entering into some hoods inhabited by people of non-Swedish inheritance. In Finland no such suburb exist, but some areas can already be seen to follow the tracks.

Therefore it is the last moment for the government and other decision makers to stop the dangerous development, although right now that cannot be expected due to the Marin cabinet composed mostly of green and leftist parties. However there will be elections for the parliament next spring, where citizens can make their choices.

Immigration policy should be among the central topics to be discussed during the campaigns although the immigrant numbers from developing countries are currently low. If so, the conversation must be detailed enough to make a distinction between recent - highly welcome - immigrants from Ukraine and trouble makers.

A man was murdered in a prison

A man was found dead in a major prison located in Vantaa close to Helsinki. He was there temporarily in a same cell with four other men, two of whom conducted the crime.

The cell did not have a camera due to the privacy reasons. Therefore there was no video-material available to figure out what actually happened - nor to have allowed prison staff a chance to notice the violence before it was too late. It is however known, that the violence was extremely cruel and lasted for days, and that the victim was finally suffocated to death using a plastic bag.

The life of the dead man lasted only 21 years, but during that time he had conducted several sexual crimes. They included a rape and sexual abuse of a 15 and 14 year old girls, respectively. He was moved temporarily to Vantaa prison because of a trial, where his own case as a victim was processed.

The 23- and 19-year-old murderers were also serious criminals. They had been sentenced to prison due to their previous trials of murders.

There are several open questions related to the case. The most mysterious one is why the killed youngster did not report on the violence to the prison staff? He would have had several chances to do so. It is also unclear why the two persons not participating in the murder did not do anything to interfere or to report about it to the staff.

Also the motivation of the murder remains open, but it is generally known that sexual criminals are poorly accepted by other prisoners. Police is also investigating, whether the personnel of the prison had made mistakes during the violence.

This kind of case is extremely rare in Finnish prisons. The two previous murders in prisons were conducted in years 2014 and 2001, and the one described above in January 2022.

It is naturally unacceptable that people are not safe in prisons no matter how serious or obnoxious crimes they have conducted. Therefore the case of Vantaa prison is important, and it should be asked why the cell was not equipped with cameras to allow the staff a chance to know about it.

In my opinion, the "right for privacy" - the outspoken reason for the lack of cameras - in a prison should be questioned seriously. The pivotal question here is, whether this right is more valuable than a human life - even if it was one of a hard criminal?

I do not think so. But even if that would be accepted, this price should be included in the law. Now it is not.

In contrast, the constitution law of Finland states that "everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. No one shall be sentenced to death, tortured or otherwise treated in a manner that violates human dignity... The rights of those who have been deprived of their liberty are protected by law." The 21-year old was not.
