Xi Jinping and Donald Trump Agree on Cooperation to Bring Peace to Ukraine

According to newly released information, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced last night (Finnish time) that he will assist Donald Trump in bringing peace to Ukraine. The agreement was reached yesterday in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

In practice, the agreement means providing military aid to the forces fighting in Ukraine to suppress the resistance of the persistently defiant enemy. The primary objective of the Chinese troops is to liberate Kursk and then proceed to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

To achieve this, Xi stated that he will send a well-equipped one-million-man contingent from the People's Liberation Army to Ukraine. The troops will be transported from Asia to Europe via continuous, non-stop rail convoys along the Trans-Siberian Railway, which will significantly disrupt Russia's domestic transportation for an extended period.

President Xi mentioned in Mar-a-Lago that he expects the first Chinese troops to reach the front within a week, at which point they will immediately commence the Kursk operation. From there, the Chinese army will advance into Ukraine, continuously reinforcing its ranks with the support of North Korean and Russian allies.

The ultimate goal is to replace the government led by Zelensky with a "peace administration," with which Putin can proceed with the arrangements necessary to incorporate Ukraine into Russia. As a token of gratitude for their assistance, the Chinese will be granted a 100-year exclusive right to the natural resources of southeastern Siberia, ensuring their self-sufficiency in raw materials for the foreseeable future.

At the press conference announcing this news, the U.S. president beamed like the sun as he declared that the agreement guarantees the achievement of peace. Additionally, he announced that he would soon travel to Norway to meet the king.

Today, a few anecdotes and jokes about the beloved leader of our neighboring country came to mind. Since they are fresh in my memory, I decided to share them with you, my dear readers. So, here you go!

A high-ranking officer who fought in Vladimir Putin's army led his unit so effectively that the Ukrainians were forced to retreat several kilometers. Naturally, the president was pleased and invited the officer to the Kremlin.

There, he told the hero that he could ask for anything as a reward for his actions. The man replied, "I don’t want anything. I just ask that you don’t mention this to my friends."

God was angry about the hostility humans held toward each other and decided to destroy all of creation. After some thought, however, He chose to give humanity one last chance to see if there was still kindness, goodness, and love within them.

So, He appeared to a Frenchman and told him of His plan to destroy humanity the next day. He also asked what the man intended to do before then. The man replied that he would get some fine wine and prepare a delicious meal to enjoy with his wife, and then make love to her.

God was pleased and decided to also appear to a Finnish man and share His plans. The Finnish man thought for a moment and said he would first go to the sauna with his wife, enjoy some good beer and sausages afterward, and then make love to her.

God began to doubt the idea of destruction but decided to also ask Vladimir Putin what he planned to do before the end of the world. Putin thought for a moment and declared that he would immediately order his army to invade Georgia so that Russia could conquer it before the apocalypse.

Vladimir Putin believes he has made himself indispensable to Russians and the world. Because of this, he has been deeply concerned about what would happen to the world, Russia, and his wealth if he were to die.

One day, he summoned his trusted lawyer and expressed his concerns. The lawyer opened his laptop and asked the president to dictate his will. Putin began: “If I ever die…”

In early September, President Vladimir Putin set a goal for the Russian forces: the expulsion of Ukrainians from Russian soil by the beginning of October.

However, it is now early December, and Ukrainians are still holding large areas in the Russian Kursk region. Clearly, the goal Putin set in September has not been achieved. His position is, therefore, reminiscent of his role model Joseph Stalin, who in 1939 issued a guide for Soviet soldiers on how to reach Helsinki in two weeks — only to fail completely in capturing the city.

Did You Know That 1952 Was a Turning Point in World Eras?

My dear reader surely knows that dinosaurs disappeared from Earth at the end of the Cretaceous period, after which the Cenozoic and subsequently the Quaternary period began. The last epoch of the Quaternary is the Holocene, which is officially ongoing in our time.

However, many researchers would like to name a new geological era for the time dominated by humanity. This era has been proposed to be called the Anthropocene. There has been some disagreement about when exactly this era began, although it is generally thought to represent the time when the cumulative impact of human activity began to significantly affect Earth's systems.

The problem lies specifically in the fact that the spatial and temporal variations of human impact are quite significant. That is why it was interesting to read an article by the Japanese researcher Michinobu Kuwae and colleagues, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, in which they compiled data on human impacts from 137 locations around the world over the past 7,700 years.

The researchers identified three periods during which human influence increased significantly. The first period occurred between 1855 and 1890, when significant changes related to the Industrial Revolution took place, such as increases in soil lead concentrations and shifts in the nutrient balances of lakes.

Between 1909 and 1944, changes were observed in pollen compositions, increases in black carbon concentrations, and widespread changes in stable isotopes. The third shift identified by the researchers occurred between 1948 and 1953, which saw a significant increase in organic pollutants and microplastics, as well as the emergence of plutonium and modern carbon-14 from nuclear explosions.

According to the researchers, the period between 1948 and 1953 represents the most significant global increase in human impact, leading to rapid changes in natural systems and important geochemical indicators. Therefore, they propose that the beginning of the Anthropocene should be placed in 1952.

I myself support this year, as many other significant events happened then beyond those mentioned in the study. I am, of course, referring to the fact that the Helsinki Olympics were held that year, and Finnish beauty, Armi Kuusela, was crowned Miss Universe.

Additionally, the beginning of the Anthropocene in 1952 is strongly supported by the fact that it was the year when Finland made its final war reparations payment to the Soviet Union, and Coca-Cola began to be imported and sold in the country. Unfortunately, Finland's first jet fighter was introduced only the following year, but it was still on January 22nd, so let's count that too as a sign of the beginning of a new era in world history.

Iranian Missile Attack was Followed by Humorous Flowers

Iran launched around 200 missiles at Israel, most of which were intercepted. However, some missiles managed to get through the defense in central and southern Israel, resulting in the death of a Palestinian in the West Bank. Additionally, some material damage occurred as missiles hit empty homes and cars. According to American sources, minor damage was also inflicted on one of Israel’s military bases.

Against this backdrop, I found it somewhat incredible to read the writings of Muslims on social media. Or what do you, dear reader, think of these flowers of humor?

First, according to an account with a female figure (most probably not a woman): "Iranian state TV just ran this", followed by a flamboyant video clearly made using artificial intelligence or some other tricks.

Second, according to Iran’s military: "90% of our weapon systems successfully struck their intended targets".

Third, according to the Lebanon Times: "Pakistan’s Shaheen III missiles can strike Israel in a few minutes. This is the right time—Pakistan must provide its missiles to Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, and Palestine. Long live Iran."

My interpretation is that Iranian state TV is spreading unwieldy false information, the Iranian military is simply lying, and the Lebanon Times wants to subject Pakistan to Israel’s counterattacks. However, an ordinary Iranian has no chance of being factually informed.

I tell you, during the Winter War, Finns were not adequately informed about the situation on the front, and when Finland agreed to peace, including the loss of large areas, ordinary citizens were furious. Having learned from this, the events of the Continuation War were reported honestly. This made life much easier for both politicians and the people after the war.

The difference between today’s Iran and 1940s Finland is that the former is a dictatorial theocracy that doesn’t care about its people's lives and health. In contrast, the latter was a true democracy serving its inhabitants.

The Finns rewarded a mass murder with 213,000 euros

European immigration policy occasionally leads to sequences of events that are too unbelievable to be accepted even as the script of the silliest tragicomedy. What does my esteemed reader think of the following?

In Finland, a few years ago, Iraqi brothers were suspected of a mass murder. However, the charges did not lead to a conviction.

Three and a half years later, one of the Iraqi men confessed the crime. This happened last August when the Iraqi man was arrested by the police while filming with his twin brother outside the Finnish Security Intelligence Service building in Helsinki.

Specifically, the Iraqi told a detective that he had killed 1,700 people at Camp Speicher in Iraq. This is evident in the police video. It was a mass murder carried out by the terrorist organization ISIS, for which the same Iraqi man and his twin brother were acquitted by a court of appeal decision in February 2020.

Unfortunately, Finland practices overly protective legal practices towards criminals. Therefore, convicting the Iraqi man after the court has made a ruling of acquittal would require more evidence than just a confession. So right now, it seems that the Iraqi man can continue his peaceful and unrestricted life and enjoy the €213,000 he received from Finnish taxpayers as compensation for being detained during the investigation of his actions.

The Iraqi man and his brother must be having a good laugh right now.

Correct minister, ridiculous facts

The Finnish parliamentary elections were held last summer. As a result, the country's government switched from a red-green coalition to a political right-wing one in the summer.

Among the politicians of the previous government, Maria Ohisalo of the Greens first served as the Minister of the Interior and later as the Minister of the Environment and Climate. Therefore, it was interesting to note her criticism of the current government on messaging service X, stating that Finland's ranking had dropped by a whopping 11 places according to the latest Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) ranking.

The situation became amusing when it was revealed that the former minister had not noticed that CCPI used two-year-old data for statistics, precisely from Maria Ohisalo's ministerial term. In other words, she blamed the current government for her own achievements.

It is clear that Ohisalo made herself appear ridiculous. What is less clear, however, is why she rushed to politicize the new information before verifying its accuracy.

If this behavior was typical for Ohisalo and the previous female-led government, it is no wonder that the previous government term was, especially in terms of the economy, downright catastrophic for Finland. For example, during the four-year period (2019-2022), the state debt increased by a whopping 33 percent, leaving the budget permanently about seven percent in deficit.

Hopefully, the current government will familiarize itself better with the facts before decision-making and succeed in revitalizing Finland's economy to make it comparable again to other Nordic countries.

A young woman skiing in a swimsuit caused a controversy among women

Ida Hulkko is a 24-year-old Finnish general's daughter, a relative of Andy McCoy of Hanoi Rocks and competitive swimmer who has won silver at the European Championships. She is also active on social media and recently posted a video of herself skiing in her competition outfit, which happens to be a swimsuit. The video caused a storm of controversy, which Hulkko can best explain herself.

"It's amazing how much negative emotion one video that I found funny can stir up in people who don't even know me... Some people understood the humor, but others focused on the objectification and slut-shaming aspects. If I wanted attention, I could start an OnlyFans or do something else. And even if I did want attention, what's wrong with that?"

So is this about misogyny directed towards a young woman by men? Or even contempt for the entire female gender? The reader can ponder this in light of the swimmer's own comments.

"I receive hateful messages every day. Unfortunately, most of the hate speech comes from women. It's really sad. Nowadays, society talks a lot about feminism, but still some women are bullied on social media."

Furthermore, "I've been told, for example, that I disrespect female athletes and women's sports. I've also been slut-shamed, and I've even been accused of promoting a rape culture." 

I think this is pretty harsh talk for a young woman who is living best time of her life and excelling as an elite athlete, just because she humorously played around with Finnish seasons in an outfit that no one pays much attention to in the summer at the beach or even in the wintertime at the indoor swimming pool.

Tractor course for Ukrainians

We are all aware of Ukrainian tractors pulling Russian military equipment. In addition, we have seen many tractor cartoons and drawings ridiculing the Russian army.

We also know that there are millions of Ukrainians - mostly women and children - who have left their home country in order to find a safe place while their army is fighting for their future. About 25 000 of those have come to Finland, my home country. 

Today I was reading a newspaper and put my attention on a story, which reported on Finns teaching Ukrainians to drive tractors. One of the the teachers told that the Ukrainians have shown high willingness to participate in society and work. According to him, they are "top crew". 

It remains to be seen, however, how much the Finnish tractor training adds to the efficacy of Ukrainian tractor forces against Russian tanks.

Finland will submit its application to join NATO within next few weeks as promised by the Prime Minister Sanna Marin. This process has also been noted by Russians. 

As a result, Putin´s propaganda office has conducted several actions. They include reminding Finland about their view that joining NATO would not bring stability into the northern Europe, poorly made fake videos about Russian troops on their march towards Helsinki, and as the very latest (today) by threatening Finland (and Sweden) that Russians will strengthen their troops by the borders of Finland - including hints of nuclear weapon placements.

It is clear - however - that Russia in its current position is not able to direct serious military pressure on Finland. Instead, it is almost humorous, how the "master strategist" Vladimir Putin in his stupidity escalated an almost frozen war in Ukraine, and as a consequence started a process in which its North-West neighbors - thus far neutral countries - are going to join NATO. 

And at the same time, the weakness of Russian army in Ukraine prevents Putin from seriously interfering this development. To be honest, I would like to know what he has in his mind: would it be something that we say in Finnish: "vituttaa kuin pientä eläintä" which translates to something like "annoying like a small animal" - although the Finnish wording is not that correct due to the first word pointing towards female genitals.   

We also have another proverb that is suitable in this situation. That is "tyhmyydestä sakotetaan". That translates as "stupidity is fined". 

In this case the magnitude of Putin´s fine will be at least a loss of two neutral nations to the Western military organization - and most probably also a loss of war in Ukraine - and thereafter quite probably a loss of his position as a dictator-like president of the Russia. If so, he might even be repeating the destiny of Czar Nicholas II after the military adventure in Japan 1904-05, which was fulfilled by Russian communists in July 17th, 1918. That is, death via execution.
